What’s in My Toddler’s Easter Basket?
Easter is one of my favorite little holidays to celebrate with my toddler—it’s all about springtime, sweet traditions, and a little basket full of joy. I like to keep our Easter basket toddler-friendly, low on sugar, and full of things that are actually useful, fun, or just plain adorable.
If you’re looking for ideas beyond candy that still feel special and exciting for your little one, here’s a peek at what I’m putting in my toddler’s Easter basket this year:
Giving a toddler a camera is so much fun because it lets them see the world from their perspective—and gives you a little peek into how they view things, too! It sparks creativity, builds independence, and encourages curiosity as they explore, snap photos, and proudly show off their “work.” Even if the pictures are a little blurry or filled with tiny feet and ceiling fans, it's all part of the magic. Plus, it builds fine motor skills and early tech confidence in a playful, age-appropriate way. And honestly? Watching a toddler walk around taking “important pictures” is just adorable.

The Great Big Easter Egg Hunt (Peter Rabbit) book brings the charm of springtime and classic characters into our holiday in such a sweet, engaging way. The familiar faces from the Peter Rabbit world make the story extra special, and the interactive egg hunt theme keeps my little one excited and involved as we read. It’s festive without being sugary, encourages early reading and observation skills, and makes for the perfect quiet moment together amidst all the Easter fun. Plus, it’s a book we’ll come back to year after year!
The Ooly Body & Face Paint washable crayons are made for skin, so toddlers can color on themselves (or you!) without any worry. They're super smooth to draw with, come in bright, fun colors, and wash off easily with just soap and water—perfect for mess-loving little artists and peace-of-mind-loving parents. Whether it's for dress-up, silly faces, or just exploring textures and colors in a new way, these crayons turn art time into a sensory adventure. Plus, they’re non-toxic!
