Toddler Easter Books to Hop Into Spring 2025

One of my favorite parts of Easter season—besides the egg hunts, bunny ears, and pastel everything—is filling our bookshelf with sweet, seasonal stories. Toddlers love the magic of spring, and sharing Easter-themed books together is a fun way to celebrate, spark conversation, and sneak in a little calm amidst all the excitement.

Whether you’re building an Easter basket, planning a spring storytime, or just want a few fresh reads to welcome the season, here are some of my favorite toddler-approved Easter books that are cute, colorful, and just the right length for busy little listeners.

Where Do Diggers Hunt for Easter Eggs? combines two of my toddler’s favorite things—construction trucks and Easter fun! The story is bright, cheerful, and filled with rhyming text that makes it so much fun to read out loud. It keeps my little one totally engaged with all the different vehicles and their festive Easter adventures. Plus, it’s the perfect mix of playful and sweet, with just enough excitement to make it a repeat read all season long. It’s a fun twist on traditional Easter books, and we both look forward to pulling it off the shelf each spring!

The Great Big Easter Egg Hunt (Peter Rabbit) book brings the charm of springtime and classic characters into our holiday in such a sweet, engaging way. The familiar faces from the Peter Rabbit world make the story extra special, and the interactive egg hunt theme keeps my little one excited and involved as we read.

The Goodnight Train Easter by June Sobel is a delightful board book that takes little ones on a springtime train ride filled with bunnies, chicks, and colorful eggs, all leading up to bedtime. The egg-shaped peek-a-boo die-cuts on every page add an interactive element that keeps toddlers engaged and excited to turn each page. The lively text and whimsical illustrations create a joyful atmosphere, while the gentle storyline helps ease toddlers into their nighttime routine.
